Neat will provide support for Neat devices running current released software version and the previous released software version.

  • By current released software, we mean software available through both ‘stable’ and ‘preview’ channels. Although, please note that the ‘preview’ channel software should be used for testing purposes only and not for wider production use.
  • By prior released software, we mean the last ‘stable’ software release before the current ‘stable’ was promoted.

If you have opted out of ‘Automatic updates’ on your Neat device, you will become responsible for manually upgrading all your Neat devices using the Zoom Room or Microsoft Teams administrator portal.

To ensure you can always get support from Neat’s technical team, please make sure you keep your devices on a supported software release. If you encounter an issue with older software (outside our support policy), when you reach out to us for technical support, we will ask you to upgrade to a supported software release first.

For any questions or concerns, or if you need Neat’s technical team, please email us at support@neat.no.

Neat Bar has five built in microphones angled in an end-fire array and three sensor mics, to enable advanced differential beamforming and optimize audio pick up for up to 16 feet (5 meters).

Neat Bar pairs with our Neat Pad controller, which has two built-in microphones as well. When we enable these mics in a future software release, the audio pick up will be further enhanced to support even larger meeting rooms.

Front Row is a layout that Microsoft has introduced to Microsoft Teams Room on Windows (MTRoW) devices. Currently, there is not an official Feature ID related to this feature on the Microsoft Roadmap for release on Microsoft Teams Room on Android (MTRoA) devices.

Pricing for Neat Center will be released when Neat Center is available for pre-order. You can sign up to receive a notification when we release more information here.

Neat Center will be available for pre-order in summer and will begin shipping later in Fall 2023. You can sign up to receive a notification when we release more information here.

Neat Bar pairs with our Neat Pad controller, which has two built-in microphones. When we enable these mics in a future software release, the controller will function as an external table microphone. At this time, you can not add an external microphone to the Neat Bar, but we will evaluate this capability in the future.

Yes, Neat devices support casting from a Microsoft Teams desktop client to a Microsoft Teams Room.

You will need to have Allow Bluetooth beaconing enabled in your Microsoft Settings. To find these settings, navigate to More (…) > Settings > Meetings and you should find the feature toggle switch.

Bluetooth must also be enabled within the Neat System Settings. To find this setting, navigate to More (…) > Settings > Device Settings > Admin Settings and you should find the Bluetooth toggle switch. For shared accounts:

  • You can sign out from both devices using the Teams Admin Center if you have the security to do so.
  • You can sign out from both devices in your Neat system settings. From the Settings menu on the Neat Pad, access Device Settings, then navigate to Admin Settings (this is password protected) and select ‘Teams Sign out” at the very bottom. This will sign out both the Neat Bar and the Neat Pad at the same time.

For both shared and personal accounts:

  • You can connect a USB-C mouse to sign out on your Neat Bar using Microsoft Teams level settings. After connecting the mouse using a USB-C cable, navigate to the Settings menu and select the “Sign out” option.
  • You can sign out from both devices by performing a factory reset on the Neat Bar and Neat Pad.

Note: Selecting the option to sign out using Microsoft Teams level settings on the Neat Pad will only sign out the Neat Pad from your Microsoft Teams account. Your Neat Bar will remained signed on to your account.

Neat Pad uses the same resource account as the MTRoA device in the room. Neat Pad can be used with any Microsoft Teams Room as a Teams Panel device outside of the room. Note: Additional Pads will only be paired at the Microsoft level and will not be able to adjust Neat device settings.

For more information on the pairing process, visit our Understanding Neat and Microsoft Pairing on Neat devices article.

Tap in the open area of the Board’s display (avoiding the controls to launch a meeting, whiteboard, or other function) and a “Settings” button will display in the lower right corner of the screen. The Zoom software version number will be displayed on the “App Version” line of the screen (e.g. “5.5.0”).

To see the Neat firmware version, tap the “System Settings” line below the App Version, and enter the Room’s passcode*. Then navigate to System -> About -> Neat Board serial number and Neat Board firmware version. The Neat firmware version will be displayed in a format like “NFC1.20210213.0020”.

*Note: The room passcode is configured in the Zoom portal. To access it, login to Zoom portal using Administrator’s account and navigate to Room management -> Zoom Rooms-> find your Zoom room and click ‘Edit’ next to its name -> Rooms profile and search for ‘Room Passcode’. By default, this is set to 00000.

In order to pair your Bar to your pad in Teams, follow the steps below:

  1.  Follow the initial out of the box instructions on the Neat Pad and Bar. Launch Microsoft Teams in the final step.
  2. Once MTR has launched, follow the on screen instructions to visit Microsoft’s Device Login site and enter the codes shown on both your Bar and Pad.
Note: The order the codes are entered should not have an affect. You will have to open a new window with the same site after entering the first code.
  3. Once both devices have signed in, a pairing screen will appear on the Pad. Select the Bar you are trying to connect to using the serial number of the device.
  4. Once the Bar you are trying to pair has been selected, a code will on your Bar. Enter this code on the Pad and hit the ‘Pair’ option.
  5. You’re Bar should now be paired with your Pad!

There are currently a few options to share content in Microsoft Teams:

  • Wired: Connect an HDMI cable from the device you are trying to share from to the content sharing HDMI port on your device. Note: This only supports 1080p30 resolution for content sharing and therefore you should connect a laptop that is capable of supporting this resolution. Currently, audio is not supported during HDMI sharing on Microsoft Teams
• Wireless: Join the meeting on your personal device and select Share. You can then pick the screen you would like to share. To share audio, select Include Computer Sound option (it’s the switch on the top right of your sharing options).
  • Mobile: Join the meeting from the Microsoft Teams app on your mobile device, and select the ‘Share’ icon found under ‘More Options’

For more information, visit the Microsoft Teams Room support site: Share Content in a meeting on Teams

To create a recording when using your Neat Bar, you can press the Record button on your Neat Pad. Note that you must be the host of a meeting in order to be able to record it, or have permission to do so from the meeting’s host. When you begin the recording, it will be uploaded to the cloud. Once the meeting is over, a link to your recording will be emailed to you.

Yes it can! The Neat Bar supports a standard called CEC (Consumer Electronics Control), which allows it to send control signals to the screen via the HDMI cable and put the screen to sleep when not in use. Please note that the TV screen will need to have support for CEC. If you enable the ‘Auto wake up’ option (on Neat Pad, go to Settings -> General -> System Settings -> System -> Auto wake up), the Neat Bar will automatically wake up the screen when it detects people in the room.

Our sole focus is to deliver the best experience across the entire Zoom customer journey. Neat’s business was designed and optimized for US shipping for our first customer shipments starting in January 2020.

Since then, we’ve worked hard to add a European distribution facility in Venlo, Netherlands, to service our rapidly growing European customer base more efficiently.  This was then followed by our Tokyo, Japan warehouse, and most recently we have added Sydney, Australia to the list, as Neat is becoming ever popular with our APAC customer base. Having a global distribution service eliminates the complexities of importing and exporting goods along with the assignment and payment of VAT and taxes, which can sometimes be intimidating and confusing.

Most importantly, the locations of these distribution centers mean that we can deliver quickly to our customers. Our strategic alliance with UPS gives us scope to place our products in UPS distribution centers throughout over 125 countries. So really, we’re only just getting started.

Please note that shipment times may vary depending on the product type, delivery location and stock availability. For information on specific orders, please reach out to orders@neat.no.

Microsoft Teams: More (…) → Settings wheel → Device Settings → Admin Settings → Network → Ethernet → Configure IPv4 (beta)
