Settings on Neat Pulse Control
Last updated on August 1, 2023
Introduction
The Neat Pulse Control platform allows you to manage all of your Neat devices from one convenient location. In many cases, different levels of granular control and device management are required for devices that are set up in different areas.
This can be achieved by setting up regions and locations for your organization from the Settings menu in Pulse Control.
Accessing the Settings menu
In order to access the Settings menu in Pulse Control and make changes that affect your entire organization, you will need to signed in to an account with owner permissions. Admin accounts will not be able to access the Settings menu in Pulse Control.
Account permissions can be set up in the Users menu in Pulse Control. More information about setting up accounts within Pulse Control can be found in the following support article: https://support.neat.no/article/neat-pulse-control-users/
Once you have entered the Settings menu you will be able to change the name of your organization within Pulse Control, share analytics with Neat, and configure regions and locations for your organization.
Regions and locations
Your organizational hierarchy in Pulse Control consists of regions and locations.
- Regions are larger areas that can contain one or more locations.
- Locations are specific areas within a region that can contain one or more Neat devices.
Regions
Admin accounts in Pulse Control are assigned to regions, and have access to all of the devices contained in locations within that region.
You can create a new region by typing the name of your region into the type box under “Regions” and selecting the “Create” option.
Once your region is created, you have the option to edit the name of the region or delete it entirely. A counter will appear next to your region that shows the number of locations assigned to the region.
Locations
Devices in Pulse Control can be assigned to locations, and locations can be assigned to regions.
You can create a new location by typing the name of your location into the type box under “Locations” and selecting the “Create” option.
Once your new location is created you have the option to edit the name of the location, assign it to a region, or delete it entirely. A counter will appear next to your location that shows the number of devices assigned to your location.
Adding a device to a location
Devices can be assigned to locations from the Devices menu in Pulse Control. After selecting your room in the Devices menu, you can change its location from the drop down menu that appears above the room’s name.
