Troubleshooting Sign-In Issues on Microsoft Teams

Users encountering sign-in problems with Microsoft Teams on their Android devices will find below the most common reasons for unsuccessful sign-in. These troubleshooting steps aim to help users resolve sign-in issues and regain access to Microsoft Teams for seamless collaboration.

Before you begin
The following roles are required for troubleshooting:
- Microsoft Teams Administrator
- Microsoft Teams Devices Administrator
- Microsoft Office 365 Administrator
- Intune Administrator
- Check that the Account is Licensed correctly – Link to the Microsoft licensing Neat page
- With Microsoft’s recent licensing changes, you’ll need to ensure that you have assigned the proper Teams Rooms licenses on the accounts associated with the Room’s resource account

- Verify Android Device Administrator (ADA) is Enabled – Intune
- This is a one-time enablement and allows all Microsoft Teams devices running the Android platform, so Teams phones, Teams Displays, Teams Panels and Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android to enroll and currently require by Microsoft to allow for Teams Rooms on Android devices to be used.

- Ensure Android Device Administrator (ADA) is allowed in your Enrollment Device Restrictions – Intune
- Device enrollment restrictions let admins restrict devices from enrolling in Intune and you must ensure ADA is allowed and the minimum is set to Android 10. Note: Until our next firmware update, the Pad will be running Android 9 and the minimum should be set to 9.
