Yes. From September 3, Neat Pad Gen 2 replaces Neat Pad Gen 1 as the standard-tier option. Neat Pad Gen 2 (standard) and Neat Pad Pro (premium) will coexist in the portfolio from now on.

Neat Pad Gen 2 is an 8-inch touchscreen meeting controller and scheduling display, and the successor to Neat Pad Gen 1. Built on Neat’s next-generation P2 platform, it keeps the same 8-inch form factor and core functions (meeting control and room scheduling) while adding improved performance and support for future software features and integrations. It includes Neat Pulse remote management and built-in environmental sensors.

Neat Pad Gen 2 features a refined single-microphone design with a rated pickup range of 2 m (actual range varies with room acoustics, such as reverberation time). It takes a smarter approach than Gen 1: and delivers the performance through a single, optimized mic tuned with intelligent noise reduction for clearer, more consistent pickup.

Neat Pad Pro remains the premium option, with two microphones and on-device processing that let it mix audio with the front-of-room device and handle dynamic mic selection and AI-enhanced audio independently. Both offer a 2 m pickup range, and both work with Neat Center when the microphone is enabled.

Neat Pad Gen 2 has built-in Neat Sense sensors for temperature, humidity, and VOC index, matching Neat Pad Pro. Unlike Gen 1, it does not include a CO₂ (CO₂eq) sensor.

Neat Pad Gen 2 requires PoE to IEEE 802.3af, Class 3 (mode A & B). This differs from Neat Pad Gen 1 (802.3at PoE+, Class 4) and Neat Pad Pro (802.3af, Class 0), so confirm your switch supports Class 3 PoE before installing.
