1. Introduction
The purpose of this Getting Started guide is to help you, the new Neat user, to prepare you on how to plan your environment so that you can successfully deploy your Neat devices.
We have organised this in 5 stages:
- Planning your environment: Before you start your installation process, please read the articles recommended under this section. This will explain to you what pre-requisites you need to plan for before the deployment.
- Installation and Setup: If you have done the ground-work of setting up your environment (e.g. allowed all the required Network and Firewall ports, created your licenses etc.), then setting up Neat devices, whether standalone or multiple devices paired together, couldn’t be simpler.
- User guides: Once you have setup, there are some helpful guides and video tutorials curated for our users on this website. You can even share this with your end-users/meeting room participants as they will know who to join/schedule meetings with their Neat devices.
- Maintenance and Updates: Regular software updates and centralised maintenance are key features of how we operate our devices. Neat devices are cloud devices and obtain their software updates from directly from our Google cloud services or via Neat Pulse management portal.
- Troubleshooting: While we expect smooth installation and operation of your Neat devices, if something goes wrong, this section will guide you where you can seek help.
2. Planning your environment
We feel it is absolutely essential that you read the following articles to get yourself prepared on how to setup your Neat devices.

- Network and Firewall requirements— This is perhaps themost important article when it comes to the successful setup of Neat devices. Please share this article with your Network/IT team who are responsible for their firework and network settings so they are ready before you start setting up Neat devices.
